Child's name and date of birth
Class and taster-session booking information

Information you voluntarily provide to us about your child that may help us support their participation

Payment and transaction information relating to your membership
Photographs and videos where appropriate permission has been obtained
We ask parents and guardians not to provide sensitive information about their child unless it is relevant and necessary for us to provide our services safely and appropriately.

Process and manage taster-session bookings
Place children into age-appropriate classes
Communicate with parents and guardians about sessions, bookings, cancellations and membership
Administer our classes and memberships
Process and administer payments

Use photographs or videos for Strive Sports promotional purposes where the appropriate consent has been obtained

Our lawful bases
We only use personal information where we have an appropriate lawful basis under UK data protection law. Depending on the circumstances, this may include processing necessary to provide or arrange our services, comply with legal obligations, pursue appropriate legitimate business interests, or where you have given consent.
Where we rely on consent, such as for certain uses of photographs and videos, you may withdraw that consent by contacting us.
The ICO requires organisations to identify an appropriate lawful basis for each processing purpose and explain this in their privacy information.
Photographs and videos
We may take photographs or videos during Strive Sports sessions for use on our website, social-media channels and promotional materials.
We will obtain appropriate parent or guardian consent before taking or using identifiable photographs or videos of children for these purposes.
Consent can be withdrawn by contacting info@strivesports.uk. Withdrawal will apply to future use where reasonably practicable, although it may not always be possible to remove material that has already been published or distributed.
Payments
Payments for Strive Sports memberships are processed using GoCardless.
GoCardless processes information needed to provide its payment services, which can include identification, contact, financial and transaction information. GoCardless provides its own privacy information explaining how it processes payer data.
Strive Sports does not need to collect your bank details through our taster booking form.
How we store and share information
We use Google services to store and manage business and booking information.
We may share personal information with service providers where necessary to operate Strive Sports, including providers that support our IT, data storage and payment processing.
We do not sell children's or parents' personal information.
Where a service provider processes information on our behalf or for its own purposes, appropriate data-protection requirements apply.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including where information must be retained to meet legal, accounting or safeguarding requirements.
We periodically review information we hold and securely delete or anonymise information that is no longer required.
Marketing
We may tell parents and guardians about Strive Sports classes, events or services where we are permitted to do so.
Where consent is required for electronic marketing, we will ask for it separately. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
Booking a taster session does not automatically require you to agree to receive unrelated marketing communications.
The ICO notes that electronic direct marketing is also subject to PECR and that consent may be required depending on the circumstances.
Children's information
Because our services are provided to children, we take particular care when handling their personal information.
We aim to collect only information that is reasonably necessary to provide and administer our services. We generally communicate with parents or guardians rather than using children's contact information for marketing.
UK data-protection guidance recognises that children's personal information requires particular protection, especially where it could be used for marketing.
